Florida Centers

The six Florida Kadampa Buddhist Centers and their branches offer a variety of meditation classes throughout Florida.

Founded in 1996, Parbawatiya Center in the Tampa Bay area was the first Center of Kadampa Buddhism to be established in Florida.

Kadampa Meditation Center (KMC) Florida started out as Kancha Center in 1997 in Sarasota and became KMC Florida in December 2007.

Samudrabadra Center was started as a branch of Kancha Center in 1998 in Fort Myers, and became an independent Center in 2006.

Drolma Center was opened in 2000 in Fort Lauderdale.

Vajrapani Center in Orlando was started as a branch of Parbawatiya Center in 2002, and became an independent Center in 2006.

Maitreya Center in Jacksonville (Neptune Beach) was started as a branch of Drolma, and became an independent Center in 2008.
